Why Tech Is Still The Future

One economist views that tech is our future. I think we’re going to depend on IT to continue our dominant leadership. My dad used to say, “What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.” We’re stronger and wiser as a result of the tech bubble. We learned that overpaying isn’t a smart strategy so shouldn’t a company save 20% (average savings cited by Gartner) by outsourcing? We are creating jobs in developing nations. Global competition is good. Capitalism is good.

Bottom line: America has the most productive workforce in the World. We have a great value proposition, freedom, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Ingenuity is the by product of our free society. That will ensure that we continue to attract the world’s best and brightest thinkers. The only force that will continue that will continue to create highly paid jobs is innovation and high production.
