New PDF Tracking Gives Us Pause

If you require registration on your website to download white papers or other "free" resources, you’re losing up to 75%-85% of your potential sales leads (2004 MarketingSherpa Report).

In response, marketers have allowed free downloads but, added registration forms inside their PDFs.

Now you can track PDF documents without making people register. New PDF Tracking Gives Us Pause.

I’ve tried the basic version of Remote Approach and it tracks downloads neatly, but after inquiring nearly ten times to have a salesperson contact me, I cannot get them to return a call. Looks like a great product, but their apparrent lack of interest in selling their product/services is mind boggling. Normally you have to shoe salespeople away; in this case it seems they want to qualify you as a customer based on the number of voicemails begging for information you are willing to leave!
